DMCA & Copyright Policy

How to report alleged copyright infringement on Fertility Minds, and how to submit a counter-notice.

1. Our commitment

Fertility Minds respects the intellectual property rights of others. We respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent provisions under UK and EU law (including the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and the EU Digital Services Act).

2. Submitting a takedown notice

If you believe content on Fertility Minds infringes your copyright, please send us a notice by email to hello@fertilityminds.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice" and include the following:

  1. An electronic or physical signature of the person authorised to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  2. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  3. The exact location of the allegedly infringing material on Fertility Minds (URL, post ID, screenshot, etc.) so we can find it
  4. Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right that is allegedly infringed

Incomplete notices may delay our response.

3. Counter-notice

If you believe your content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may send us a counter-notice by email to hello@fertilityminds.com with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice" containing:

  1. Your electronic or physical signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location it previously appeared
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you reside (or, if outside the United States, the courts of England and Wales) and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original takedown notice

4. Process and timelines

  • We aim to acknowledge valid takedown notices within 2 business days.
  • If content is removed, we will notify the user who posted it.
  • On receiving a valid counter-notice, we will share it with the original complainant. If they do not file legal action within 10–14 business days, the content may be restored.

5. Repeat infringers

Fertility Minds will terminate the accounts of members who are determined to be repeat infringers under appropriate circumstances.

6. False claims

Submitting a knowingly false takedown notice or counter-notice may result in legal liability for damages, costs and attorneys' fees under the DMCA and equivalent UK law.
