Community Guidelines

Fertility Minds is built on trust. These guidelines keep our space safe, kind and supportive for everyone.

Last updated: 20 May 2026

The short version

Be kind. Be honest. Protect each other's privacy. No medical advice. No hate. No spam. When in doubt, ask: would I want to read this on the hardest day of my fertility journey?

1. Treat every member with respect

  • Be kind, patient and supportive — everyone here is on a vulnerable journey.
  • Listen first. Different people need different things on different days.
  • No bullying, harassment, intimidation or personal attacks.
  • No discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, marital or family status.

2. Protect privacy — yours and others'

  • Don't share personal information about other members (names, locations, photos, medical details).
  • Don't screenshot or share private messages or community content outside Fertility Minds.
  • You can post anonymously in any community — protect yourself if you need to.

3. No medical advice

Sharing your own experience is welcome and valuable. Giving medical advice to others is not. Please don't:

  • Recommend specific medications, dosages or treatment protocols
  • Diagnose or interpret symptoms for other members
  • Promote unverified clinics, supplements or remedies

If you're worried about a member's safety, please report it to us (see below) — we have safeguarding processes in place.

4. Be honest about who you are

  • No impersonation of other members, public figures or organisations.
  • If you are a healthcare professional, you are welcome — but please don't use the community for client acquisition.
  • No fake accounts. One person, one account.

5. Keep it safe

The following content is not permitted anywhere on Fertility Minds:

  • Hate speech, slurs or content that demeans a group of people
  • Sexual content, nudity or sexually suggestive material
  • Graphic violence or content that promotes self-harm
  • Content that glorifies, encourages or provides instructions for harmful behaviour
  • Spam, scams, phishing or unsolicited promotional content
  • Anything illegal under UK law

6. Sensitive content warnings

Some topics in fertility — pregnancy loss, baby loss, failed cycles — can be painful for other members. We ask you to:

  • Use the content warning option in the app when posting about loss, pregnancy news or treatment milestones
  • Respect that some groups have specific rules about what can be shared
  • Be mindful that everyone's timing is different

7. Reporting content or behaviour

If you see something that breaks these Guidelines, please report it:

  • In the app: tap the “…” menu on any post, comment or profile and choose Report.
  • By email: hello@fertilityminds.com

We treat all reports confidentially and aim to act within 24 hours for safety concerns.

8. What happens if you break the Guidelines

Depending on the severity, we may:

  • Remove the content and notify you
  • Issue a warning
  • Temporarily restrict your ability to post or comment
  • Suspend or permanently terminate your account
  • Refer the matter to law enforcement if there is a credible risk of harm

Serious breaches — including hate speech, threats, exploitation of minors, or content that puts someone at risk — will result in immediate, permanent removal from the Service.

9. Appeals

If you believe we've made a moderation decision in error, email hello@fertilityminds.com within 14 days and we will review.

10. Changes

We may update these Guidelines from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
